Mood Board - Colours.

When looking at the colours that are usually associated with musical theatre the majority of the time they are bright and bold. They usually stand out majority of the time as they are usually contrasting against a basic sophisticated background. For example my fonts I tried to manipulate and did a few editing with, gave an effective glow effect. I used a gradient background going from a dark colour black, to a very light colour of white. This allowed whatever colour writing that went on top of actual gradient to stand out and be easily seen. I also had used a basic font, but tried it out twice to see which one looked better. At first I had just used a standard purple font in bold but this looked to plain. I then used a 3D effect and added a glow. This changed the image a lot made it look much more appealing. Musical Theatre posters tend to use a plain background with a plain colour in the background so that any style of writing in any colour works well on top of this.
